a question for those who know...

So, ah... after spending all day pulling buckles at work, I'm doing some last-minute wing-sculpting (or pretending to...), and getting started on packing for SF, and I'm wondering what one wears at cons?

I mean, this is the first convention I'm choosing to go to (I went to botcon, way back when I was dating the guy who owns the only remaining film copy of the original transformers movie... but we didn't spend a heck of a lot of time there, anyway) and I'm wondering what I should pack. I mean, is this a break out something fun sort of event (I've got a drawerfull of interesting tights I never really wear...) or what? I told them to put "Psychokiller Barbie" on my badge, so I really ought to wear my pskbarbie tank top, but it's sort of boring. Or I could wear that and the painted pants and be Noticeable. Probably more than once, since two weeks of luggage in one suitcase makes for clothing overlap and probably tracking down a washing machine mid-trip. But, hey, it's San Francisco, right? They still have real hippies there...

[yes, I'm aware this is a silly amount of effort to put into this. But I've also resigned myself to being a girl who thinks about clothes, if not quite in the same way everyone else does...]

Um... we could go to Otakon or something. Or declare a dress-up day. But that means you have to dress up, too! ;P

I was actually considering otakon. Since it's one I've never been to before and I'm going to be living practically 'in' Baltimore. It would also be neat to see what is new and exciting in the world of Anime. I don't mind dressing up, but I don't really have anything to dress up 'as'. I'll tell you what, we'll go to Otakon and each come up with dress up ideas for the other.

We could go as Zombie-Raggity Ann and Kevin's :P
