stupid, stupid postal service
When they changed the postal rates, they brought postcards (and additional ounces of first class) up to 24-cents. Ok, I don't have a problem with this. It means they have to issue new postcard stamps, which are almost guaranteed to be prettier than the old line-drawings of people ones, right?
Nope. There is no 24 cent stamp; they're currently selling rolls of Wilma Rudolph or whoever it is packaged with rolls of 1-cent stamps. Not only that, but while they had a "coming attractions" release back in December, telling us that the new postcard stamps will be attractive moth-pictures, there is STILL NO RELEASE DATE for when these will become available. A month after changing the rates, they can't be bothered to have stamps that support the second item on the list of stamp prices. What the heck is wrong with these people?
