a question for those who know...
So, ah... after spending all day pulling buckles at work, I'm doing some last-minute wing-sculpting (or pretending to...), and getting started on packing for SF, and I'm wondering what one wears at cons?
I mean, this is the first convention I'm choosing to go to (I went to botcon, way back when I was dating the guy who owns the only remaining film copy of the original transformers movie... but we didn't spend a heck of a lot of time there, anyway) and I'm wondering what I should pack. I mean, is this a break out something fun sort of event (I've got a drawerfull of interesting tights I never really wear...) or what? I told them to put "Psychokiller Barbie" on my badge, so I really ought to wear my pskbarbie tank top, but it's sort of boring. Or I could wear that and the painted pants and be Noticeable. Probably more than once, since two weeks of luggage in one suitcase makes for clothing overlap and probably tracking down a washing machine mid-trip. But, hey, it's San Francisco, right? They still have real hippies there...
[yes, I'm aware this is a silly amount of effort to put into this. But I've also resigned myself to being a girl who thinks about clothes, if not quite in the same way everyone else does...]
