lament for change on a sunny morning

The fall has largely fallen, and my maple tree has deserted me; I awakened this morning to full bright sun shining through my window, and had to move the Beryl-creature who has been dancing a wild gypsy dance in the middle of my floor. I don't remember when the trees leaf out in the spring, but they are tearing down the lovely old sycamores along grauwulf's street, and I don't know when I will next wake up to uncurtained windows and filtered green sunlight again.

Hooray for wild gypsy dances!

Although I sort of want her to have real clothes that I didn't make to sell to someone else before she actually goes anywhere. I guess I should hurry up with that, shouldn't I? ;)
