...or not...

It is, um, 8:30 and very much bedtime. Very sad. But my head hurts, and the sewing of fencing shirts is not going to happen just now. So I'll just have an entirely new ensemble for Assessments next weekend, instead. And with luck, much sleep will occur, and tomorrow I will be inclined to be sociable while there are people to socialize with. I don't have to leave the house for a whole decadent twelve hours! To be early-ish to the event!

Question for you long-time SCA people-- I just renewed my membership online, and they have my waver on file from last time... do I actually need to fax in a new one to get a blue card? Because the website totally fails to admit to this possibility, that I can see.

yes, you have to send in a new waiver.

On the bright side, you can get a copy of your proof of membership waiver online (here (https://secure.sca.org/membership/index.php?choice=retrieve)) so that you don't have to pay the extra three bucks until your spiffy new blue card arrives. You'd still have to sign the waivers at the gate (and MoL?) in the meantime.

Yeah, not only do they don't recognize that you already have a waiver in file. For some reason, they gave Carlos and me a new membership number as if we had not existed before. Sigh.
