Whoever it was who decided that today was supposed to be cooler than yesterday forgot to tell the weather that... I was hot and tired with dripping sweat by 8 am, and had to sit down in the shade for a few minutes about mid-morning because staying hydrated wasn't enough when I felt like my face was roasting in the sun. Not good.
So I was thinking, this afternoon, as I kept digging (and even totally exausted, I was still filling buckets faster than two screeners could go through them, though admittedly I was making other people carry the buckets over to the screens) what the heck am I thinking that *now* I pick up hobbies that are physically challenging. I don't need that; I'm pushing myself to my limits getting through the workday. Whereas any other time in my life, it would have made sense for me to fence and rock climb and things, and instead I spent most of my off hours sewing and reading and doing stuff on the computer. Go figure...
It is very sad, but I think there is no point in my going to fencing tonight; I can't imagine getting enough out of it to be worth the effort. But on the plus side, we've only got three and a bit more units to dig tomorrow, so unless we find cool features (which is also ok) we could be done entirely by mid-morning.
