Not so much a mandrake. More a little girl drake, really.

A little something dug up on a moonless night...

I think I may need a larger pot.

I think it turned out pretty well for a costume I thought of on Tuesday; it helps that the day I can't pull a witch costume out of my closet is probably one where I'm out of town. Of course, we went and wandered around the mall for a little bit this afternoon and seven or eight people complimented my "awesome witch costume," four people asked what she was and had no idea what a mandrake was, and two people asked me if my hair was real. Silly normal people.

Thanks. :)

You might also be amused by the occasional cry of "Release the Babies of War!" as I put her down to crawl about. Of course, there's also the occasional problem where she immediately turns around and grabs my ankles...

This may explain why "let slip the Babies of War!" is not as common a phrase as one might imagine.

Though it does fit thematically with "Cry havoc! and..."

It probably helps if they're less emotionally attached to their handlers.
