Yes-- we have the expectation that people will be harder to keep in touch with when there's a physical move, or a social group one (no longer attending x activity) but I feel like internet culture shifts tend to be more top-down from platform changes or caused by technology or society moving on, which kind of flings it into that accelerating towards apocalypse realm of change that is increasingly hard to prepare for.
