I had some kind of very clever subject line, which I have completely forgotten now
There was Otakon, which was very interesting, although it might have been better if I had been more awake for it. If I go back, I need to dress a bit more up, I think... I also want to do comparison shots with Pennsic-- there, everyone has to dress up, so the only street clothes belong to the Coopers (staff); at the con, slightly fewer than half the people are just in street clothes, but the ones who do dress up may well be dragging props bigger than they are, or dress as wild boars or equally crazy things. (I sort of wished I'd ever gotten around to copying one of the dresses out of The Princess Bride-- not that it's anime, but still...)
Also, the dealers room was disappointing; it contained perhaps two things I was interested in buying, neither of which did I go back for. But the Art room (which, coincidentally, was open much longer) was full of fascination, and I actually went and got cash so I could buy this picture, because it amused me so much. Recognize these girls? You've seen them somewhere before... And having gotten cash, I got three other prints that are beautiful, and that I have nowhere to put.
In other news:

Lady's blue dress. Well, the pattern. Actually, all these pieces but the ruffle have been cut out and pinned on her, so I can drape the front, which is going to be one of those silly cross-over front things. But I haven't done that bit yet.
And then, there's the fabric problem.

This is the guest bedroom. It currently contains *most* of the fabric that I own. (this does not include the smaller piles that are designated as "doll fabric", mending, partly-completed projects, or things currently in garment form that are awaiting having something else done with them. Oh, or the bits in process of becoming a steampunk quilt (when... er, if... I get to it).
Twenty-some boxes and the trunk. And the bags of linen scraps, and several things not in boxes... Yeah. In theory, I want to inventory all this madness, and re-pack it so I can find stuff efficiently. We shall see.
