Do you ever have one of those days where the list of things you have to get done is reaching critical mass, and you never quite seem to finish any of it (at least to your satisfaction) and there are two or three people who need to get back to you before you can finish up the *easy* things, and then someone hands you a couple of library books you particularly want to read? Oh, and the doll eyes came in the mail. And they're lovely, and the right size, and the dome of the glass is too thick, so you can barely see them when they're actually in the doll's head. Bah.

I think I surpassed crit. mass and then suddenly I had an internal mental breakdown where one half of my brain was screaming at the other and then suddenly....

I did have dreams last night about my brain being licked LITERALLY. *shudders*

Where am I going with this weirdness? Oh yeah. Peekatures of the glass so darkly eyes?

I took some. Then I was lazy and didn't do anything with them. Maybe I'll put them up on Sunday. From some angles, the camera sees better than I do, which is encouraging, I guess.

Um... wanna paint her? Assuming your brain remains not-really-melted, that is. I can also wait a week or three if that'll help.

I do wanna paint her! Once I'm a little less melty around the edges.

Oh you know what's really fun - put the eyes in and the putty just around the edges not behind - then stick a lamp behind the open back of the head. My crappy camera loved that.

Ok, let me know when is good. (we should do a craft day! wait, that sounds familiar...) Possibly I should get her some eyelashes or something, too.

I don't know how much light would get through the paint on the eyebacks, although I might try that at some point out of curiosity. I did try the flashlight trick, and it showed potential, but the flashlight I had in my drawer wasn't exactly ideal for the purpose.
