a quandry

So my tea (Bigelow Vanilla Hazelnut) has suddenly stopped being sold in the local grocery stores. (Or at least, I've looked in one each of Giant, Safeway, and Magruders, and it is not in any of them.) And this is my currently preferred fuel for doing projects (creativity provided by tea and [whatever mood I'm in]) and so depending on what I'm doing and how much I'm home, I may go through as much as a box of the stuff a month. Or more in November...

So my quandry is this: I can get a case (6 boxes) online for the equivalent of $3.80 a box. I can keep searching for it in the stores, where (if it is still findable) it will cost slightly less-- I think more like $3.45? but I'm not sure. Or I can buy 3 cases (over a year's supply, do I really need that much tea at once?) for what comes out to $3.04 per box.

I think I'm probably puting far too much thought into this. But has anyone local seen the Vanilla Hazelnut flavor in grocery stores recently? Because all I find is French Vanilla, Vanilla Caramel, and/or Vanilla Almond. And much as I like almonds, none of these is even a pale substitute.

I would buy a case, because you don't know when/where you're going to get it.

You can also ask the manager of your local grocery store if they would consider ordering it. They may consider restocking.

I wouldn't buy three cases, seems like tea has a freshness/use by date, and maybe packaging prolongs it, but you never know. Not that I drink tea...

I'd just buy a case, and by the time you are through it you'll find a new supplier or a new flavor to try.

Or you could contact the company and ask them who in the area has ordered it and they can tell you. I had to do that for my favorite chewing gum, the company was very helpful.
