My father got the assurance today that he'll be able to stay at his job (originally billed as 4 years maximum when he started in Nov of 2000) through Nov of next year ('07). So if I start going to a local grad school that fall, I should be able to count on my parents' not picking up and randomly moving someplace else for at least the first semester. Which is a good start. Now I just need to take a couple practice versions of the GRE, as I haven't actually thought about more math than it takes to draft patterns in about a decade...

I never quite understood how this english and math stuff tests proved anything. Are there statistics that made someone decide this is what they should test on or something?
