(only for some reason I always want to sing that with christmas carols. maybe just because I don't really sing carols at easter, though... it's a really pretty hymn, anyway.)

Barbarian Raider Barbie now has her underlayer of clothing, extremely badly serged. (lesson: even though you are supposed to use large-clothing construction techniques on really small garments, this does not always work, if, for instance, the curve you are trying to serge is smaller than the presser foot. It also doesn't help when the fabric keeps trying to fray out of the small-size overlock stitch.) She could moonlight as a ninja assassin, but I think she is more interested in aquiring a tunic, fuzzy boots & hat, and a scimitar. Her war pony has also aquired button eyes, which look kind of silly. Well, very silly. But possibly if you were a hapless doll who found yourself in the path of a green war pony with a red mane and large yellow button eyes, being riden by a scimitar-wielding mongol-esque barbarian (probably yelling at the top of her lungs), you would be too traumatized to mock it.

Everyone I mention this to seems to think of role-playing style barbarians, rather than eastern ones. Whereas because she's a raider, I always thought she was obviously from the Horde of Ghengis Khan or something... as opposed to the sort of barbarians who go out and fight trolls and dragons, and possibly do less group raiding? I don't know; it's also possible I just know too much about ancient history, and not enough about early fantasy stereotypes.
