So I've reached the coveted 50K mark, and then I redid my tracker to give an estimated final word count based on chapter length, and then I had to go and add a miscellaneous "Where are they now" chapter to the children's plot-line before I could set up where the younger brothers are going off to. So I'm an estimated three quarters of the way done, possibly finishing around the 26th, but only if I keep my wordcounts up. And I'm bored; I've been doing this writing thing for a long time, I've passed 50K, and I want to be done now. But the NaNo site won't even let me verify my final wordcount yet, and Scheherazade is stuck in the middle of a war she inadvertently caused between the Aztecs and the Chinese.

I knew there was a reason not to let the Aztecs into my story... Scheherazade has not only acquired the Sight, and semi-immoratlity, but now she's got a bloodthirsty giant Aztec animal-totem jaguar that's created itself and decided if she doesn't want it to sacrifice other people to her, then it's going to share her soul and protect her always. Argent is *not* going to be happy about this development...
