"Yeah? Your mother wears Spartan army boots!"

So we find that due to the torrential rains, FCPS has closed all evening activites, and there is no fencing. Which is sort of sad, but since I was kind of considering not going anyway, with the wistful thought of how nice it would be to sit at home with tea and blankets and go to bed really early (even after I just took a nap after work) was looking more and more appealing.

So then the next Important Question in my life is: is there anyone in my phone worthy (or is that "sufficiently unworthy"?) of being assigned the "Share and Enjoy" song as a ringtone? While I contemplate this, I shall attempt to relocate the writing zen and get through another chapter or so. Since I produced all of 13 words yesterday, and astormorray has pulled ahead again...

Meanwhile, I leave you with the following: Shakespeare Searched, which I feel would be a truly great thing to have if only I could think of anything I wanted to look up...

zen writing achieved, 1.5k written between 7:30 and 9. And then my mother came in and wanted to do things with her sewing machine, which is also in this room, and for reasons I don't really understand it drives me up a wall to have other people around when I'm trying to write. I don't know-- it might not apply to everybody, but people like roommates and parents I just want to go away and leave me alone, even if they're totally not doing anything but existing where I can hear them. Oh well. I got more tea, and eventually she went away again, and I did write some more, but nothing like astormorray's up to 17.5k, and now I am going to bed.

yay sleep. maybe when I wake up again, my head will not hurt, and the backs of my sinuses will not feel like the not-exactly-cold I have not-quite-had for the past month+ has decided it wants to be a sinus infection when it grows up. (I haven't had a sinus infection since I was 14, and believe me, I haven't missed it.)

But-- I have positive proof that the alternate ringtones and the "bring up a picture of the person calling" functions work in my phone. :) (not that I doubted it, precisely, but it's nice to know, not to mention, you know, hearing from worthy people.) Now perhaps fishy1 should send me the picture of her couch, so that it'll display when she calls me. Which is not quite the same as her using the picture for someone in her phone, but has a certain fitness to it as a suggestion, nonetheless.
