This weekend seems to be involving a lot of horribly unproductive shopping... I went to the mall yesterday after the movie and failed to get any of the things I was thinking I wanted (although I did eventually remember what they all were) as the boots I found that looked worth trying on weren't still there in my size, there was a hugely long line at the lingerie counter, and the bubble tea place, while it had taro drinks on its menu, was out of taro powder. (items 1 and 2 were from Macy's, though, so I'll probably stop by the one in the Dover mall tomorrow night and see if they do any better.)

And today, I have failed to get anything for the project that unexpectedly landed in my lap this morning (one store was closed Sundays, two didn't have what I wanted), and tried on boots somewhere else that were also insufficiently inspiring... In fact, the only thing I did get (besides the movie ticket) was 6 yards of blue linen blend to make the quintesential blue medieval peasant's dress out of. Possibly I will manage to finish it by gulf wars or so. Ah, optimism... (says she who hasn't sewn anything in a month or three because of having everything else to do with her time)

But now, I think perhaps my time would be better spent in taking a nap.

very sad things: (yes, I am laughing at myself)

--I have to go back to work tomorrow, when most everyone else has a holiday.

--the cat was sick on my playstation. Some time ago, which shows you just how important it is on a daily basis, given that I just noticed last night. It is not actually broken, but the lid release no longer goes all the way back to its original position, so I have to put something on top of it to keep the lid shut.

--when I actually spun up said playstation, the game I was trying to play told me that there was no space on the memory card to save it, and did I want to re-format it? I am highly skeptical, and don't particularly wish to reformat the card with a couple of FF saves I might someday want again just so it can fail to save again. Is there anywhere in the world likely to have P1 memory cards still available for purchase? Would they be pretty cheap these days?

--my mother thinks I should go take down the christmas tree (ok, I did offer to do that one...)
