today deserves bullet points. KaPow!
Apr. 8th, 2008 09:06 pm*once upon a time, I had an exacto knife. I am entirely sure I used it the december before last to make a couple of etched mirrors (one of which I was going to copy for
fishy1, but never got around to it) but it doesn't appear to have been seen since. However, I did find my 1/4" hole punch (where I looked and failed to find it two weeks ago) in the search
*I like rain. It's been raining a lot lately, and it hasn't really fully registered, because it doesn't bother me. But I find that it irritates me when other people make comments about wanting the weather to be "nice." This is nice.
*building a good resume should have been one of the labors of Hercules. (and he would have been a heck of a lot worse at it than all the impossible tasks he did) Apparently proper resume formats activate my mental spam filters, and therefore are nearly impossible for me to read and process. Yet another reason not to go into tech writing...
*work/DC/driving on the beltway is irritating. I suggested to
grauwulf that we emigrate to Scotland and live in a cold, damp castle, but he is in class right now giving a speach or something. Possibly after a few years abroad I would find there irritating enough to want to put up with here.
*I may have overcommitted to various craftster swaps (ie, given that the speed my brain works at now is... not at all efficient, and I'm supposedly sending things next weekend (small), the weekend after (possibly giant), and by may 15 (med-lg)) and I desperately want to stay home from work to work on all this. Technically I can. But that would be bad. (by the unwritten Rules of Thanate, if nothing else...)
*One should color one's shrink plastic with the actual color of the colored pencil lead in mind, not the color it looks while writing. Several things will have to be redone...
*I apparently want to sleep from 11:30 or midnight until 8 am. In theory, I could do that for the rest of this week, but current rumor has it I'll be back out in the field on monday or tuesday. Unless of course it rains torrentially.
*I need ergonomic and comfortable seating in my room so that my ankle will get over the hurting thing. (as is, it either dangles b/c the couch is too high, or gets squashed b/c I'm sitting on it)
