"...that's where it all breaks down, of course."

I am not at work, therefore I am not miserable.

I feel that there is something wrong with my logic here. However, the fact remains that I was at work yesterday in a room full of people, none of whom I particularly disliked, and several of whom I actually liked, cataloging interesting things and listening to interesting conversation, and despite this, I was absolutely miserable for most of the time. I left early (telling my co-workers I was running away to join the circus) and have not been oppressively miserable since. This morning I got as far as my car, where I sat and stared at the steering wheel for a couple minutes, and then went back to bed.

It's pretty out. A bit sunny, but very nice. And I've been working on craft things all day. Utterly useless. I should be fighting with my resume. But I have quilt fabrics (on which I spent rather too much, because the fabrics that said, "you need me" were both $9/yd) which wish to be a steampunky, victorian greeting card sort of quilt. We shall see what other people do with them. And I'm playing with art styles I haven't really done much of in years, which is fantastic.
