Jul. 18th, 2008 01:19 pmarrived in SF last night after 6 hrs of delay due to various causes, beginning with 1.5 hrs out of chicago waiting for a connecting train that got delayed b/c it hit somebody. Got thoroughly sick of other passengers griping about the delay, as I was not the least bit upset about it.
Very strange. Slept surprisingly well on the train, and after 3 nights and most of 4 days, it was very odd to be not moving anymore. Like sea legs, only the eyes first-- you pull onto a siding so someone else can get by, and the ground appears to be moving slightly backwards.
