The world is messing with my head. Only slightly, but enough that I didn't sleep as well as I would have liked. My parents are leaving this morning (in half an hour?) to go away for a month and a half, or more, which means I need to take care of things I don't ordinarily have to (the cat, for instance. and grocery shopping. and there's a plant I'm supposed to water...) I am lazy, and never did like grocery shopping (probably why I always intend to go buy the things my mother doesn't, and never get around to it. Apparently when she was a kid, she wanted to run a horse ranch in Texas and not cook or clean or deal with babies. Which seems very odd, since she hasn't had a "real" job since before I was born...)

I had a dream that combined doll cons with things in the Oberlin dorms. It was very odd, though not as bad as the not-remembered thing from last night that was creepy enough I woke myself up and then dragged over another pillow so I had something lying against my back. It made me feel slightly safer. Which is weird, since I just don't have nightmares. Just things that disturb me later on.

I should stop babbling and go to work.

left work slightly early, on the grounds that I was falling asleep rather than earning my keep, and the project doesn't need time charged for me napping. And then I ended up spending about two and a half hours at the mall after I bailed out of huge amounts of traffic, on the grounds that falling asleep and traffic was possibly an even worse combination than falling asleep and work. I did manage not to spend any large sums of money (um, 2.5 hrs and I bought a cup of tea...) despite considering a few articles of clothing, and several bits of jewelry, mostly for Lady, not me. Doll ownership is bad for my shopping habits...

Cat is fed, I am fed, trash is out, I need to write about three e-mails and then I can go back to sleep. I had a brilliant idea of what to do for one of my swaps, but that will have to wait.
