ah... no christmas cards today...?

shiny new faster computer has arrived. I have butchered the old one to the extent of *finally* getting the HD out of the case (the new computer has a panel that opens at the back to reveal no only the battery, but the HD and the memory for easy replacement! ooh!) and loaded it in its entirety onto the new computer, however due to the joys of the stupid user account system (why it is necessary to have password protected user accounts on a SINGLE USER laptop, I will never understand) there are now two of me, and the wrong one has my settings. Fie upon them.

Also, I am still attempting to sort out how the track pad works (but there is also a system update telling me that they've got a patch for that, so perhaps the problem is not actually me) so we shall see.
