Today is the sort of day that makes me want to gather up my valuables and stash them under my bed in case the tree outside my window falls on the house. It's noisily windy, with intermittent spurts of sun, cloud, and brief snowflurries. As yet, however, none of the laundry appears to have escaped from the clothesline.
I have discovered that the new GarageBand has added features that include actually being able to change the tempo in the middle of a song (you mean, my recording software is now designed to be compatible with real music? what's with that?) and that my sewing machine really does make buttonholes small enough for doll-sized buttons. These are nice things to know. I have also acquired a lovely (posable!) doll body that completely fails to match the only floating head I've got, so she is on a quest for a head. (I'm thinking of "Six Characters in Search of an Author" which I've never read/seen or anything, and probably wouldn't like, but always loved the title.)
Tomorrow's plan is to get to the Walters art museum so that we can see their 5000 years of jewelry exhibit before it closes (on sunday.) Tonight is still undetermined.
