thanate: (bluehair)
Looking for a lost tab (er, yes I should probably close some browser windows, why do you ask?) I found the following pair of links:

Humon's Mother Gaia (see also: we are the new Permian extinction, though that never has quite as much to do with the title as I remember when I go look it up again. But the point stands: what we're trying to save is us and the house wrens, not "life itself")

And a reflection on the Book of Job (via the Making Light sidebar) which is... presently relevant to my life.

I owe the internet some garden pictures (and we have tadpoles! but my camera can't see them) and myself an attempt at outlining this book I want to make more book-like than mess-like (the same one that I was writing in the Permian extinction post) and I was going to write a little bit about That Other Thing but there's no point in making a day where I'm fine into one I spend all weepy, so that can wait.

The weather is beautiful, and I'm hoping it lasts-- I think we're about due for an anomalously cool and pretty summer instead of the hot and awful kind. Here's hoping.
