(...and if anybody can identify that reference, I'll give you a prize... now on to the references nobody will be able to identify. yes, I am amusing myself totally without regard for the tender sensibilities of those who have no clue what I'm talking about-- but bear in mind how often the rest of the world does it to me. :)
This morning I got up very early. It was hot out. When I got to work, there were two voles hiding under the shovels, that ran away when I picked them up. Heather did not dig up any voles in her unit.
It was hot. Steve tried to choke me with my water for recycling ticks. I said that recycling was environmentally friendly, and besides, I didn't throw any of the ticks I pulled off my pantlegs back in the grass anywhere that I had been, so if he went where I did he'd be fine. So he tried to tell me I should go hold his hand when he went to pee. I said, "eew!"
When I got home there was a package from Ruth, who sent me Into the Woods so I could look up the line I didn't remember. Then I ate dinner, and went to climbing, which is silly, because I have been carrying buckets all day. But I climbed walls, and it was hot. (are you beginning to sense a theme here?)
Now it is very late, and I have to get up very early again tomorrow. It is way past my bedtime. So I am going to sleep. The End.
(except to say that I'm still trying to decide if I want to go to the event this weekend, which in theory would be fun & good fencing and stuff, or stay home and spend ALL DAY inside doing things that don't cause me to sweat vast quantities. And maybe even write something on my poor neglected proto-novel, which I am almost beginning to like... soon there will be a house on chicken legs!)
