A large chunk out of the middle of my day was taken up by going to a Falls Church Doll Club meeting with my mother, who was doing a presentation on Native American ethnic dolls and wanted help carrying things. Five bags, boxes, and domed cat carriers later, we filled up two round cafeteria tables with dolls. There was tea, and other members of the doll club (all my mother's age or older) some of whom were very nice, and at least one whom I would be happy never to see or hear again. I've been a bit curious about it since my mother joined the doll club about a year or so ago, but I don't think I've got much of anything in common with any of the other members, and sitting in a room full of women discussing bluettes and their family ancestry isn't something I need to pay to do every month. I did manage to crochet what will probably be about half of a shawl or capelet sort of thing for Beryl, and I've done some photo wrangling this evening, but that's about the productive count to my day.

The beryl-creature is off making trouble somewhere else, and probably developing an unsuitable attachment to one of

kittymaru's dolls, but I did a proper photo shoot of the green dress before she left. (no, she still hasn't got a chemise-- it may be that she's just that kind of a girl.)
