...and now, with pin-weaving!
Jun. 1st, 2009 08:00 pmOnce upon a time, a decade ago this summer, I was a rather directionless college student working at a fabric store which has long since closed, and reading all the craft magazines on the racks by the register, where one of them had an article on pin-weaving. And I was quite taken with the idea, but only got as far as buying a couple of boxes of pins and a spool of quilting thread before I got distracted by other things.
With the recent influx of greedily hoarded awesome yarn scraps, I just did a test piece:
I'm planning to sew it onto my infamous (and totally unknown to most of you, sadly) patch cloak which just came out of its box recently, but I'll have to wash that first...
Also, there are in-progress pictures and pseudo-tutorial on Craftster.
