weirdness radiation
Jun. 22nd, 2009 10:12 amHave gone from reading The Wind's Twelve Quarters to Lud-in-the-Mist, which is getting odder and odder, and somehow ended up having dreams with elements out of both. I can't quite remember what, though.
Meanwhile, I contemplate reviving the high school tradition of postponing any attempt at a birthday party until the summer is over (ok, admittedly having sent "would this day work?" invites to a handful of people I've only heard back two "sorry, no"s and one very maybe, so it might end up that my original plan is fine, and there's no particular reason I couldn't schedule another similar thing for two or three months out either way.) fail to get in touch with other friends with whom there were tentative plans-to-make-plans to get together possibly yesterday, and continue attempting to make the house look vaguely presentable. I even vacuumed the downstairs rug, and in the process discovered that I feel no guilt at all in discarding two of the three vacuum cleaners. The only question is whether it's ethical to take something that could probably be made to work with some effort and cleaning to the thrift store...
