All the world is full of chipped up quartz

It seems they've found some rocks in Crete that imply people (of some sort or another) have been there a lot longer than they'd thought, which pushes back the first seafaring in the Mediterranean by about an order of magnitude. I'd like to ask a few questions about assumptions not covered in the article, but all in all I'm glad that other people are still out there doing archaeology, and perhaps even that some of them appreciate crazy quartz bits.

Meanwhile, I have taken minotaur pictures and am trying to determine if any of them will "do." I'm ready to move on from this particular project, although I think the short-term next thing is chopping up raw chicken, which I'm not at all wild about either. But so it goes.

And I was greatly amused by this. That would totally be me in the middle... (more here; a bunch of them are quite sweet-- I like the bird hat series, for instance-- although not all are "work safe")

Well, if you put it that way probably so would I. It was just the messy blonde-ish hair that looks cute in a loose braid for about two minutes and then escapes all over the place. :)
