water, and other topics...

Look, a third of the yard is zoned as flood plain! (This is from monday.)
And as there is no work with all the rain this week, I have been hanging out at home, which has been hot and sticky and very very humid. (As I may have mentioned, my mother has the air conditioning set not to turn on until the living room reaches 82 degrees. And so while admittedly I agree that a certain amount of freezing to death from over-airconditioning is a bad thing, there has been no dehumidification this week whatsoever...) And so it is all sticky and nasty, to the point where it's practically not worth showering, because you're back to being icky again half an hour later. Eew. Although admittedly today is better-- both cooler and less humid outside, and therefore in. I've still got my window open.
I think I'm going to the mall, to find someplace dehumidified that I can sit, possibly with some sort of coffee-substitute interesting drink, assuming I can find a satisfactory one, and attempt to create a plot outline. Ha, aren't I funny?
