Unfortunately, they escaped from the box and tried to overrun my teacup.
When that proved unsuccessful, they ventured outside to look at the tulips in bloom...
...and the Glass Cat read to them from Pierre.

On the other side of the house, the forsithia is doing a fireworks impression.

grauwulf that I am saving the astronaut ice cream he bought me for the apocalypse. Then we had to check the expiration date, and discovered that indeed it is guaranteed keep for two days beyond the reset of the Mayan calendar, which is the next scheduled apocalypse we are aware of.
