I ran out of brain around 10:30 last night, and instead of going to bed like a sensible person, I proceeded to enjoy the hot water, wash my hair, and then stay up until midnight dying the tips of it blue and purple, and promptly failed to be able to sleep for most of the night. The end of my braid now looks like it's auditioning for a Lisa Frank metallic notebook cover, which is rather exciting, though technically I should put it up to hide that bit when I go in to the aquarium.
Meanwhile, the basement pour has been postponed until Friday in hopes of letting things dry out further... which makes me nervous, as these things have been going recently, but so far we're listed as 0% chance of rain until next Wednesday. Instead of watching the cement truck, I got to wrangle the cat off and on all day to keep him out from underfoot as the former back windows got cut out and then temporarily boarded over, and now I get to wrangle him to the vet for his yearly check-up & shots. I was going to wait until the week after VP, but one of his eyes is a bit swollen, so I'd like to have someone look at that and determine whether I ought to be worried.
I have re-located my suitcase, failed to give myself tetanus (because I have shots!... as opposed to because I was playing around with all the gunk in the basement & managed to stab myself with a pin...) and done a lot of laundry, because
grauwulf had run out of clean work pants. (Um, this is the man who in the last laundry cycle finally remembered to mention that he was running low on clean underwear. Of course, most people would say this before there aren't any pairs left in the drawer, or at least notice the difference between "low" and "out.") Other than that, not so much with the things I was going to do today. But I should start cat wrangling. Pictures this evening.
