ugh, i seriously disliked being helped, especially early on! my in-laws kept trying to carry stuff for me and i was like "i'm pregnant, not an invalid!" and it was a thing for a little bit because i didn't want help but they didn't know how else to engage with me due to the language barrier. i only let help really happen towards the end of things, probably about at the same stage you're at now, or around when my feet started to swell up! i went to farmer's markets the week i gave birth (40wks, 3days and 5days) to try and get labor continuing, too. it sounds to me like it would be rather annoying to have a due date and then be pressed to serve that by a doctors office. i hope it doesn't trouble you overmuch and i hope things go well!
ps - yay cloth diapers! they are super easy and way more fun than disposables. :-D
