thanate: (barbie)
[personal profile] thanate
Tom: So, Thanate, think if you were digging this whole foundation for the house by hand.
me: Would I have this kind of shovel? [a flat-bladed one, rather than pointed]
Tom: Probably worse.
me: But I wouldn't be digging it, 'cause I'm a girl...
Tom: Oh, fine, pull the gender card.
me: ...I'd probably be doing something equally unpleasant, like plucking chickens.

Unfortunately, the screen on my camera died randomly this afternoon. It now shows purpleish & white blurr which can be vaguely related to what the picture ought to be, but doesn't tell me anything useful like what the settings are, whether the last shot came out in focus, or how many pictures I have left on the card. Does anyone know how fixable these things are, or how much it costs to do so? I can get a new camera, of course, but I have the feeling I'll be quite annoyed by trying to find one without fifty million extra features I don't want.
