The cat and I are watching birds; it is theoretically supposed to snow, maybe, right at rush hour this evening, and I finally have half the feeders out (I still need to clean the finch feeder & get the tray to stick to the window so I can feed the mourning doves but not the squirrels) so I have begun recording for Project Feederwatch a month late. It's that sort of year, I guess, and I am trying not to resent the giant flock of house sparrows & house finches who have gone through a third of the sunflower seed in the last hour. They do keep the cat entertained.

Household cranky has devolved into full-on depressive, ugh, with long icky tentacles in many directions, but we carry on, I guess. M & I put up the Christmas Tree this morning, with intent to decorate it with my mother after preschool, and the Megatherium gave up this morning's fight about getting dressed by saying I was allowed to pick her clothes as long as they were all pink, & then she got into them without giving me a hard time at all. But we find that she's outgrowing her snow boots. There's always something.

I have thoroughly succeeded in confusing the heck out of people in the Secret Santa Craftster swap, most recently by writing other people's addresses instead of mine for the return address (I took pity on the guessers & pointed out in the discussion thread that they should check the location the post office put on.) But everyone seems to be enjoying that.
