dominyk or troyfish, and I'm about a week behind the trend here, but I'm playing to a different audience...
talking about stabbing people! with swords!
For those of you ex-Obie fencing types who are curious about SCA fencing (skittblink!) you should check out the new podcasts that dominyk has started puting up. They're a little rough in the transitions still, but interesting and worthy and things. A bit local-centric, so everyone except wazroth, who appears to have dismissed the notion of having to do with the SCA out of hand (because he'd have to dress up in funny clothes? which of course, from a guy who played a very convincing frumpy middle-aged lady for drag ball sounds a little weird...), would be in a different kingdom and Aedan's exposition on the Atlantian ranking structure in episode 2 won't mean much to you, but I think a lot of it should be somewhat illuminating & worth listening to.
My only complaint is that, as the one who sewed the patches on Connor's clothes, I take offense at their being called ugly. I think they're very pretty, even if he's somehow managed to start pulling out the stitches already. Yay colors! I'll just have to kill Dom sometime, or something-- a man who wears bright orange pants on the field has no room to talk. :)
