thanateTheoretically I wanted to get to 10K (which, again theoretically, I still could do) but I keep getting distracted by my mother's master plan to sell stuff at the Arlington yard sale tomorrow. And while I'm not actually required for any reason to be part of this process, I feel bad not helping, especially since apparently I'm the only one who knows things like what it is that my brother wants to keep from his room, or where the previous yard sale's unsold items are in the attic.
And the last almost 800 words are this completely pointless incident, where Scheherazade meets this horribly shallow, spiteful witch-lady, who takes her in and feeds her dinner so she can talk about the husband she killed off when she got tired of him. And there's no reason for me to include the story; there's no real reason I took notes on it, except that besides being disturbing, I was amused by some of the phrasing in the version I read, and the lady's described as a "ghost-witch" which is almost sort of like being dead, right? Yeah, that's probably not going to last through the first revision...
And in other news, the friend who was supposed to be bringing back the coat I left at her house (in PA) back in March, forgot it *again.* So despite seeing her while she's in town this weekend, thus filling up the only previously unused block of my saturday, I still don't get my coat back. waah. I want my coat! She stole my coat, and I can't change back into a seal again without it! (ok, never mind...)
