In other news, I finally made it out of the house to get a new zipper for my fencing bag, and discovered that the Vienna branch of Hancock Fabrics is going out of business. Sigh. (the whole chain is dealing with bankruptcy, although why they feel the need to send me notices about it I don't understand, but the other stores seem to be staying open) The nearest one now is going to be in Manassas someplace. Just like everything else that I don't know how to get to that still exists in Manassas...

Oh, and I have so far successfully resisted buying any ball-jointed resin dolls, which are far too expensive to start buying just because I keep thinking about it, even when there exist half price bodies right now.

Yes-- the vienna store is in "everything must go" mode, with 30 to 60% off stuff, and at least today it was still pretty well stocked. If you have notions or thread needs, now would be an excellent time.

There is a Hancock Fabrics on Rt. 1 South in Alexandria, in the Beacon Hill Shopping Center. It is split @50/50 fabric and housewares. Largeish selection of drapery/upholstery fabric.
