Instead I took my doll's head off and painted his face. And battled sealant and eye putty and redid his right eyebrow about five or six times, since as usual the first eyebrow I did was just right, and the second never quite managed to match it. But then, my eyebrows aren't quite symmetrical either. Whether I'll have to redo his lips (again...) or not will depend on what they look like in actual daylight, and eventually he'll need eyelashes (which I don't have yet) but in the mean time, some rather bad pictures:

there would be better ones if the flash weren't being stupid. This looks like the one angle of photos on the manufacturer's website that I really didn't like where it makes his cheeks look all rectangular and pouchy. Ugh. He looks much better in person, really; it's mostly just the shadows.

but with the eyebrows he does look better in the dark hair. Now if it only acutally fit him...
(and for my own reference: lip/blush color is white, vermillion & yellow ocher, in descending order by proportion)
