So the modem has apparently decided that wireless is not an important part of its job, and is not producing any signal at all. I have stolen my brother's currently unused ethernet cord split, and thus get to sit in his room to write this, since the only long cable in the house is connecting his splitter to the modem. If this continues, I may have to see if I've got a leftover dorm cord in storage. (stupid modem breaking bits...)
Apparently in the time (a whole day and a half) I've been offline, I missed a zombie invasion (belfebe, pirategirleee, and weebaby, among others), two posts from
grauwulf (eee!... ok, not that I didn't spend over 900 minutes talking to him in the last month, according to my phone bill...), and a conversation on rapiernet in which it was eventually determined that Constanza is not a goat, although someone else may think she is.
I also discovered, without reference to my computer, that while I have readjusted to the rigors of cataloging, my arms aren't quite ready to do anything else as well, and now my upper arms and shoulders hurt. Which is odd, as it was my lower arms that totally refused to take me up more than 4 climbs (and that badly) last night. Go figure. Nothing feeling broken, though, just sore. We'll see about that fencing thing this evening.
Quotes:
"[tea] boosts your immune system. I was going to say it boosts your ecosystem, but that didn't actually make sense."
..."What kind of ecosystem do you have?"
"Zone six, deciduous forest."
...And the lab is infested with sleepogens, although they seem to have gotten some of them out when they emptied the trash last night. (and swept the floor, even!)
