Date: 2007-07-21 02:01 pm (UTC)Unlikely, sadly, as volumes of spirits have been known as "shots" since at least 1676 (and measured drams of liquor called "shots" since no later than 1928), and the term "shot glass" did not appear in print until 1955. (OED)
