I have been eventized. 3 rounds of triple-elimimation tourney for me, and I *may* have been the only one who got knocked out that quickly. I feel that I am doing a great deal of flailing around, and some staring at people and thinking too hard. Some of the former works from time to time, a thing I attribute to having actually trained some of my muscles to do what they're supposed to do, but for the most part I need to do some drilling and probably fence more. Which is a problem when I feel like I'm going into anti-social mode again (or have been there for a while, more like) and by the time thursday rolls around and I've already had one or two evenings of doing things I mainly want to stay home and ignore people. Although I also whine too much. Waah, waah, waah.
But the company was good, and the other fencing was worthy and watchable, and there was a great deal of good (mystery) feast. Yay food, even if there was never a menu posted that I could see, and for some reason it was supposed to be related to the odyssey; or perhaps some medieval interpretation of it, given the rather creative details in the bits our feast-herald announced. Most noteworthy was the mulled tea... so far as we could tell, it was water boiled with mulling spices and sweetened. No wine or cider of any of the other things one would expect people to mull. Interesting. I'm still trying to decide if I quite liked it or not.
