work, for the night is coming

For the most part, the weekend was good... the grauwulf and I met part-way between here and there, and we did touristy things, and antiquey things, and small amounts of scenic, and much of the existing and stuff. However, there were some minor difficulties with the hotel. The first room they put us in had fleas. And this is what we had to say about the replacement room:



And then I went back and bought a cedar chest from one of the antique shops on the way home. Um. (it's pretty! and it has a real key, which works...)

That's a pretty awful room. Where was that, so that I know what town to avoid? :)

actually the picture was just funny... we switched rooms, checked for fleas and found them not present, and then pretty much collapsed, and ten minutes later Mel started laughing hysterically because he had just noticed it. Of course, there wasn't any smoke detector, and the electrical outlets were quite loose, particularly the one the coffeemaker was just barely staying plugged into.

it's the Travelodge in Troutville, which I suspect you'll have no trouble avoiding.

Yeah.... I've got bunches of crashspace both friends & relatives in that area. I like that area of the country :)
