We survived media day... for those of you who watched DC/baltimore local news this evening, or get the sun, the post, or the Montgomery County MD paper tomorrow, keep an eye out for the archaeological site related to the ICC construction. Much footage was taken, possibly some of it will actually be used. There was one guy who filmed a good two minutes of looking up at me from under the screen as I pushed dirt through it and sounded terribly excitied about using that shot. (of course, I have no idea where he was from...)

Unfortunately, the project has been extended until tuesday. Bleh, and ugh. eew. yeah, anyway.

it's (probably misquoted) from a rather interesting children's book about an elizabethan girl who gets taken by the "faeries" (people in hiding who still follow the old religion, including human sacrifice) and they have a thing about leaving the doors open on all hallows night, which turns out to be quite useful to her.

yup, that's us. And channel 4 news said *exactly* where we are, too, so we've had random people wandering in from all over the place. really helpful...
