thanateDespite apathy, I've found a large percentage of the surface of my desk, and part of the couch. There's still an exciting array of scrap fabric all over the floor, but somewhat more contained than previous. And I stole [ok, was offered the loan of] rechargeable batteries from my brother, so I could take pictures of things. (My camera eats batteries alive, and I haven't gotten rechargeable ones yet-- any recommendations on where to go/what to get?-- and the last of the standard AAs went into my flashlight when the power went out last week.)
I got a box for valentine's day. Not that I got or made a present in return (instead spending much time dithering about what to make...) which is sad, but there will be things given at *some* point.
....and it had a monkey skull in it! hee! Look at those cute little teeth!
Except that I'm torn. I don't have a good place to put a monkey skull. It deserves a good display, and all of the good display places are taken. I swear, I need a curio cabinet. And somewhere to put it. And somewhere to put the dolls, so they've got room for all their stuff... There was a cool old antique shop in one of those antique rabbit-warren houses with all sorts of nested rooms and servants' quarters and everything I wanted to live in. That might be enough room to fit everything...
Anyway, it might have to stay in the box for now. Which is sad, even though it's a cool box, too.
And eyelashes are pretty, but difficult to photograph:
...and Soom is selling Deneb now (special limited edition of the other girl doll the size of mine, with tan skin and super-heeled feet so tall the shoes are sculpted on, and she looks like a boy, too. What is it with the mecha angel sculptor? And her lips are ghastly, although I can't decide if that's the paint or the sculpt.)
