ok, I have a thing about dandylions, and the artist doesn't quite understand their leaf structure. But other than that, I love the batik. (No, I'm not going to start batiking things now, I promise.)
and the random shot of the pin I made for the silly swap on Craftster:

In other news, we now have tents up over the site, with real heaters (ooh, aah!) but are still not going out tomorrow, on the grounds that driving to and/or from work is highly unworthy. I suspect that I will stay home and do my taxes.

Date: 2008-02-22 03:24 am (UTC)I love batik! We took a class as youngsters (10? 12?) and I've always wanted to go back... when I have a studio. It's so complex, and messy.

Date: 2008-02-22 03:42 am (UTC)I couldn't make up my mind about what swap to start off with (despite drooling over the papercraft book from the same person you claimed jumpsuit patterns from) so I ended up with this as being both quick and easy, and not requiring me to make anything tailored to someone else. And a couple of the things I've had my eye on shouldn't close until well after send-outs. Of course there's only one thing in the silly swap that I actually want so far, but we'll see...
