I want one, I want one! (play their "shetland" demo track-- it's very riverdancey, but they have bagpipes that almost sound like real pipes! they're a bit too light, but playing with the sound filters should help that.)

http://www.apple.com/ilife/garageband/jampacks/world.html

only, of course, it's $99 for that, plus I'd have to buy the new iLife to get their (not sold separately) updated version of GarageBand so I could use it (and from what they've got online it looks like my #1 complaint about GB (that you can only have 1 tempo per song) continues, while instead they've added all sorts of weird podcast/web features I totally have no use for) for another $79. So maybe not soon. but there is all this per diem I've been collecting...

And this afternoon, signs are pointing to indefinite future aeons of Ft AP Hill to come. We shall see.

yes-- [livejournal.com profile] ssdevilducky made me go to one of their concerts because it was his office holiday party, and they were quite good. That, and I've been needing new music for months now.

Ya know... I think I can probably swing a copy if iLife and most likely any other Mac software you may want.

actually I just had the same offer (on iLife, that is) from a friend who just stopped working for the Oakland Apple store. But if you happened to have spare copies lying around of either something that creates midi files, or a basic flash editor, I'd be delighted. :)

MIDI's I haven't played with, but I'm sure I could come up with something.
Basic Flash Editors... I only have Macromedia Flash Pro 8. Not basic, but it does the job. I can bring a copy if you like.

well, I know absolutely nothing about flash (yet) but I'm sure I could work something out with a library book or two and a chance to play with the program... :) thanks!
