my life in pictures, part 2

(no, part one hasn't been posted yet)

This is Puck. He looks a little strange. Don't worry-- he'll look a great deal stranger soon.
Two boxes. The first has no note, no return address, and contains three items. I assume it is from my MIA partner in the crafty detective swap. Or at least, I can't think who else it would be from.

two bags (giant messenger bag, fabric shopping bag) with gear stencils, and a rather pretty little wire & malachite tree charm.
The second box was my order from junky spot:

In this picture, there are two piles. The first one is the stuff I ordered. The second one is the insane amount of extra stuff that came out of the box while I was still trying to find the MSC. I'm not completely positive I got it all... there might be another Gamera DVD or box of pocky lurking in the plastic popcorn. And the pink thing is a disturbingly pink wallet with scary anime pigs on it.
And so then I opened the doll box:

More popcorn!

It's not a doll, it's a mummy! Wearing, um, Bart Simpson underwear?

Wow. I was thinking of him as eyeless, actually. Those are fabulous though. And he does look rather egyptian, when not shrouded in a cloud of reddish mohair (as he is in the site pictures)

Hi!

You're cute, but kind of creepy!
Yeah, so I'm waiting for the crafty detective swap mods to confirm that the first package actually *was* what I think it was before I post it in the gallery, and now I'm going to go to fencing. More exercise needs to happen in my current lifestyle. And more coatings research, and getting back to the jointing bits of doll sculpting, and my drawings of how to do wings. And I didn't salvage the broken clock from the trash at work to turn into some bizarre work of art at a time-as-yet-unspecified-also-known-as-never. Aren't you proud of me?

Which is coincidentally not terribly much of a problem, since I was planning on making him an alternate one.
