A picture still exists of the day when my slightly older cousin and I decided to make a "zoo" on the stairs, collecting all the stuffed animals and a few dolls and my little brother (no, he wasn't on exhibit, just needed to be included so we could have his animals, too) and setting them all out in array. They loosely filled up a good half the staircase.

So when I was moving things around in my room in an attempt to create small amounts of order from chaos the other day, all the floating creatures ended up on the bed, and I had to take another picture to demonstrate. Daffodil (the bear in the back left corner) was there for the first time round, too. The barbies have all migrated to sufficiently convenient homes that they didn't make it in.

The last of my paintings from my grandfather is finally hung. Painted by my grandfather (but unfinished; he didn't sign it) and framed by my father as a christmas present. And then I managed not to kick it in or anything while it was sitting around on my floor. This was the only real wall space left.

There's a pirate ship crashed on my bed. It's a kite. I have no idea what to do with it, but it's pretty cool.

---Death is the apple tree:

Image cadged from [livejournal.com profile] zagzagael... I don't know better details on the original woodcut, and I also forgot to flip it around before I started tracing, so the finished shrink plastic is mirrored. Which I believe does something odd to the medieval symbolism, but I'll live. It might even be an appropriate oddness, given my preferred interpretations of the myth.

So, it skewed a bit during baking; I contemplate re-baking and seeing if I can neaten up the corners. But I'm quite a fan of the line-drawn scrimshaw and block-print style for shrink plastic.

And part three:

I cut (& fold) journal pages. The little alien is a nuisance.

Speaking of nuisances, the Glass Cat has new hands. The look a bit odd, but they can hold onto things:

(her old hands are in the package, and this picture was flash-only because the power was out)
