oh, and in other news? (doll drivel)
Jun. 27th, 2008 10:17 amI am not ordering Soom's June doll, but I am seriously considering putting up a want-to-buy for one of her extra heads in the DOA marketplace. The sculpt is absolutely gorgeous, and she'd make an excellent Janet, but I'm not sure how I feel about the super gem girl body. (It's all very well for Lady to have slightly odd proportions-- she's not human, and a shape shifter anyway-- but real humans do not have bulbous armpits etc...)
Of course the gray skin would make a pretty excellent harpy... (sigh)

Date: 2008-06-27 02:34 pm (UTC)I still need to pay off the Sard. 2 left, and then he's mine!!! (Still can't believe I actually am getting one. Gotta be the hooves, because the face is a project or two or three.) Probably shouldn't have gone for the outfit, but it'll look so pretty on Martel.

Date: 2008-06-27 02:41 pm (UTC)I'm also quite curious to see a super gem in person, in terms of scale. (and this sudden desire for the head mold also makes me wonder how possible it would be to track down an afgan body without paying a rather large fortune for it)
The moral of the story? Stop checking the Soom website! Which I do at least weekly, anyway.

Date: 2008-06-27 02:45 pm (UTC)But. Aston has no problem wearing the Super Gem clothes - the pants are too short, but he's anorexic enough that everything else fits fine. And of course that's what I love so much about those incroyable Dollshe boys. They're painfully lanky and skinny and half-starved, they beg to be loved and fed.
Great, now I'm talking about feeding my dollings.

Date: 2008-06-27 05:32 pm (UTC)How much too short? Waif got some quite lovely pants with a very deep hem from the resinality swap which are a little too modern and he's never going to wear... which is sad, as they fit him beautifully.
