(So I was in the lab this morning, and Carey turned on the Diane Rehm show. And there was this guy talking about the art of conversation, beginning with Socrates and then he had a great deal to say about Samual Johnson and how in his era good conversation was one of the accomplishments of a good education. And then he said this, and it was too funny not to write down.)
